Dan,

Good to hear your product is on the way.

Completely agree with you – there is plenty of room to make mistakes. In fact, a healthy amount of mistakes are necessary for growth and development.

Having said that, it’s certainly a major mistake to make a lot of people upset and confused, and then not provide a response to that same group of people. This mistake is compounded every day there is no response.

I’m not even looking for free shipping – I just want clear communication about whats going on, what my choices are, and whats being done.

Hi Jason, one of the responses above was mine – the bit about the send them out, make a loss and then we’ll decide.

I got an email back from Saachi pretty much straight away saying he’d ship mine straight away. I hope that’s the case – word is now out on your blog and on Twitter that there’s an issue. I’m willing to cut him some slack, particularly that he’s doing this in his spare time while at university.

If the product is good – great. There’s room for some mistakes, but this one was a whopper.

No, I view it completely the opposite.

I’d love to give this startup a chance to publicly make a response. A good response here could turn into a fantastic PR opportunity for them.

People weren’t more gracious with me when I was starting. They were far more harsh. It was stressful at the time, but it was a critical moment in my development, and I’d brought the situation upon myself through my actions.

The way to resolve it was to take personal responsibility, admit your mistake, and do what it takes to make it right. I’m hoping to hear from them.
